Student Preceptorship Fee and Refund Policy

Fees: There is no application fee. Your rotation fee covers onboarding, supervised teaching, feedback, and evaluations. A $150 onboarding fee is included in the total. The total fee will not exceed $2,000 per rotation.

Approval and payment

Payment is due only after your university approves the placement, confirms that you may pay for preceptorship, and all required agreements are signed. Pay 30% of your total fee at that time. Pay the remaining 70% at least 14 days before your first clinical day. The first payment counts toward your total; it is not automatically lost if you cancel. If school approval is not received, any payment is returned.
Payment must be made by check payable to Psychtitude NP LLC. We will provide instructions for delivering or mailing your check. Your check must be received by the payment deadline and clear before your first clinical day.

Cancellation and refunds

To cancel, email the contact listed in your placement confirmation. If you cancel early xor your placement ends early, we keep only:
• The $150 onboarding fee, if onboarding work was completed.
• The fee for supervised teaching you already received.
We refund the rest of the money you paid. The same rules apply if you withdraw, lose eligibility, or are dismissed for conduct or performance concerns.

To calculate the teaching fee, we divide your total fee minus $150 by your agreed clinical hours, then multiply by the verified hours you completed. Missed or canceled hours do not count. We never keep more than your total fee.

We will give you a written refund breakdown and issue any refund by check within 14 calendar days after your placement ends.
Example: For a $1,800 rotation with 150 planned hours, the teaching fee is $11 per hour. If you finish 50 hours and onboarding is complete, we keep $700. If you paid the full fee, your refund is $1,100.

Practice cancellations and changes

If Psychtitude cannot provide your placement before it starts, we refund all payments. If a major schedule or preceptor change prevents you from finishing after you start, you may agree to a new plan in writing or end the placement and receive a refund under the rules above. Extra hours must be agreed to in writing, and the total for that rotation cannot exceed $2,000. A new rotation requires a separate agreement.

Clinical and academic expectations

Payment does not guarantee that you will finish your hours or pass your course. We verify only hours you actually complete and approve. Your university decides your grade. Payment disputes do not affect honest evaluations, accurate hour records, or your right to report concerns.

School agreements

Your signed fee agreement lists your fee, hours, and payment dates. This policy does not change your university’s agreement with Psychtitude. Any conflict with that agreement or the law must be resolved in writing before payment or clinical activity.
